These figures are ballparks for comparing homes, not quotes.
These figures are assembled from this home's own posted price list, and each one is rounded up to the next $5. Treat them as a way to compare homes, not as a quote. Only the funeral home can quote you.
What the county fee is
Mason County is the county this funeral home is in, so that is where the figures start. The permit fee belongs to the county where the death happened. If that was a different county, pick it and every figure on this page moves with it.
This fee is charged by the county where the death occurred, not the county where the funeral home is. A family using a Oakland County funeral home for a death that happened in Kent County pays the Kent County fee. Pick the county of death to know the amount.
In this list: in MI, Grand Traverse County at $75, Ingham County at $32, Kent County at $70, Macomb County at $93, Muskegon County at $55, Oakland County at $60, St. Joseph County at $5, Barry County and Eaton County at $35, Branch County and Cass County at $25, 25 counties at $50 and 10 counties charging no fee; in IN, Allen County, Tippecanoe County and Vanderburgh County with no fee on file here; in OH, 88 counties at $10. A county not in this list charges something too; ask that county or the funeral home.
The counties of the states this one touches are in the list too, each one labeled with its state, because a death does not stop at a state line.
Certified copies of the death certificate
This home's price list does not show a price for a certified copy of the death certificate, and we have no verified government fee for this place, so please ask the funeral home or the registrar in the county where the death happened what one copy costs.
Tax is always approximate. Ask the funeral home for the exact amount.
